The Nursery School, situated within sixteen acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, is divided into two large, brightly decorated classrooms. The Nursery School building is set in its own enclosed garden, providing a natural, safe and secure play area with logs, play house and outdoor play equipment comprising a colourful pirate ship with slide and rock wall ramp, an all-weather carpeted play area and a covered outdoor activities area
Our Senior School takes pupils from their early teens through to their GCSE studies, preparing them for their post sixteen education, in a strongly supportive family environment, permitting full focus on study.
We combine first-class teaching with unusually high levels of individual care and attention in enviably small classes. This is supported by a school ethos which encourages and rewards effort, achievement and good behaviour. Our GCSE results are consistently impressive. We provide every student with a rounded education, catering for their own needs and abilities, developing their widest interests and strengths and enabling them to develop into a confident, happy, and successful young adult.
Hawley Place is an idyllic independent Nursery and School, nestled in 16 acres of beautiful woodland in Camberley, Surrey. We welcome children from the age of 2 into our nursery, where they learn through play and games. Both boys and girls are now welcome to continue into Year 7 and follow through to GCSE at 16. Hawley Place is a family school and each and every child receives the individual attention they need to meet their true potential, be that in maths, science, art, sports, or all of the above!
We place great emphasis on creating the right ethos for learning. Children work and play hard, strive for excellence and are encouraged and rewarded for achievements, effort and good behaviour through the House Points System.
Within a happy atmosphere, we value and develop all the skills and talents of individual pupils and staff. Teachers use a broad range of teaching strategies to ensure children remain focused and challenged, with the arts, sport, languages and ICT promoting 'all-round' development. Academic examinations and tests are important, but young children really need to be properly prepared for the next stage in their education. We believe in strengthening the 'whole person', with broader skills and positive attitudes.
Clubs
The school offers a whole array of lunchtime or after school clubs and activities to all years to encourage all children to broaden their horizons. Children may also attend Early Morning Care from 8am (Prep School) after school care (Pre-Prep) or after school prep till 6pm. Junior children also take part in an activities afternoon once a week.
