I needed a freewheel removing. Since the model was unusual, I phoned my nearest LBS, "Rides on Air" in Wallingford, beforehand to check that they had the right extractor. They had. I took the wheel in, and was told that removing the free wheel would cost me £8. Since doing that takes - literally - 30 seconds, I was amazed, and asked them to check. They insisted. Since I needed the bike later that day, I agreed - under protest. But I've now ordered the extractor online for £11, so I'll not need them again. But I also asked Ricky at Pankhurst Cycles in Panngbourne. He said that if I brought in a packet of biscuits, they'd do it for me for free. My old LBS - Berkshire Cycles in Woodley - just suggested I put £1 in the Charity Box. A V O I D "Rides on Air"

I have had plenty of dealings with Jules over the last 3 months since deciding to bite the bullet, get on a bike and do a LEJOG in 8 days!!! Next week I ride and I couldn't have done it without the reasoned and honest advice from Rides on Air and specifically Jules himself. My website is www.tem28sqn.co.uk and I have made my thoughts about this firm load and clear in the blog. Go on use them and don't forget to ask for a discount! Dino
