Wigston Framework Knitters Museum.

The Master Hosier's House and Workshop.
The workshop was locked and left in 1952, leaving a unique record of working life.
Inside are eight hand frames for making gloves, mitts and fancy ribbed tops for golf hose, together with all the moulds and tools for each machine.
The house dates from the last years of the seventeenth century, and is furnished with numerous artifacts.
There is a large garden, well stocked with various flowers, shrubs and fruit trees.
The "Yarnroom" ( light refreshments available ), and a small shop complete the museum.
OPEN; 2pm to 5pm every Sunday and the first Saturday of the month, also Bank Holiday Mondays, last entry 4pm.
CLOSED; January and February, Christmas and New Year.
