About
Snibston is set on the site of a former colliery and consists of an award winning interactive museum, scheduled ancient colliery buildings, the Century Theatre, and a one hundred acre country park and nature reserve. The museum displays a diverse and rich collection of historic objects telling the story of technology and design and how it has affected everyday life from the past to the present day, and the future.

Snibston is great
I don't agree that teenagers are not thought of at Snibston. For our holiday visit we spent a glorious day looking at the fashions and wandering around doing the experiments inside the building. We then went on the tour of the mine, and finally experimented with the outside see-saws and "play" equipment, all very entertaining. If you have a teenager of the right mind, there is heaps to do at Snibston. (OK possibly a girl might enjoy it more than a boy).

Great for kids!
Snibston has various diffrent interactive features around the park, it is great for the kids and can also be intersting for adults. It may not suit the teenage genration though.
