Well, this is a typical Wetherspoons Pub:a majority of old men and diners during the day and 18-20 year olds in the evening. Having said that it always has a comfortable atmosphere and is a nice place to drink. The service can be sometimes slow, especially in the evenings and weekends. Its located on Darkes Lane close the the train station and on Fridays and Saturdays it is open till 12.30 am and 12am during the week. The food is the typical Wetherspoons menu but sometimes it can be slow to come out, with quite long waiting times on the popular food deal nights. Overall, if your looking for relatively cheap drinks and dont mind the usual "shabby" but comfortable style of Wetherspoons then this is for you!

The drinks/food and the chef get top marks, in terms of quality and value for money, but what a shame the rest of the Pub lets it down. Dirty, sticky tables and a roudy noisey atmosphere.
