South View offers comfortable homely Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the centre of the picturesque village of Lynton, Devon.

Linked by the Victorian Cliff Railway with its twin, the harbour village of Lynmouth, Lynton is the ideal base to explore the surrounding Exmoor countryside with its abundant wildlife and spectacular coastline.

South View is just a short walk from the Cliff Railway with its magnificent costal views, and the beautiful scenery to be found at The Valley of Rocks. Just a short drive away you will find some of North Devons spectacular sandy beaches.

All of which make South View the perfect place for a restful country break by the sea.

There are so many beautiful local walks you can easily park your car at the beginning of your stay and not get in it again until you are ready to leave!

Enjoy the peace and tranquility, rest and relax, or be more energetic and explore the many beautiful walks in the surrounding Exmoor National Park.

We have five attractive rooms in our pretty Edwardian house all well equiped to ensure you have a comfortable stay.

South View Rooms

The rooms at South View are all unique and individually decorated.

They all follow the theme of a Devon flower being appropriately painted and accessorised, you will find lovely examples of hand finished soft furnishings, which make for a very unique and homely atmosphere.
All of our rooms at South View are fully en-suite, they are thoughtfully equipped, with little extras like hand cream and cotton wool, to ensure your comfort during your stay with us.

All rooms have compliments trays with a variety of drinks; lots of guests particularly enjoy the selection of chocolates!

There is ample wardrobe and drawer space and if you wish we can store suitcases for you until you leave.

South View Facilities

All our guests will find a warm welcome to our home.

We successfully blend comfort with a warm and friendly personal atmosphere which can only be achieved in a family home.

We have five en-suite rooms all enjoying the facilities you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. During your stay you will have a house key and can have access to your room at all times.

The Guest Sitting Room is always open if you wish to relax away from your room.

You will find information about local attractions and routes and maps for local walks, as well as books and magazines for your enjoyment.

There is always a good choice of cooked breakfast available which is served from 8.00 until 9.30 in the Breakfast Room. All breakfasts are freshly cooked to order and you can also enjoy items from our buffet table.

If you want to make an earlier start to your day your breakfast can be served earlier by arrangement.

Special diets can usually be catered for, please let us know your needs on booking.

For the comfort of our guests we operate a no smoking policy.

Please let us know when booking if you have any Special Needs, though we regret we have no ground floor rooms.

There is parking for guests at the rear of the house. We are always happy to carry bags to your room.
