Disorganised and disappointing

Service

We use Lloyds in Laporte Precinct, Grangemouth regularly for repeats and an occasional ad hoc script. And we have done so for many years. The last few visits have been extremely disappointing particularly due to what I see is a haphazard, severe lack of organisation and, in my opinion, a frightening lack of staff training. I have had two paper prescriptions (LOST) within the past year. My wife was never informed of a change to the automatic ordering policy. I have witnessed elderly patients being spoken to as if they were stupid. eg. "Are you sure that's the correct date of birth?", "Is that definitely the correct address?". I may only be in the pharmacy once every month or so but if these are daily occurances, I'm quite appalled. Lloyds is a business but also forms an integral part of the health care system. Yesterday I challenged the lack of my medication being available - the script had been LOST! I verbally complained. The duty, self employed, pharmacist asked me if I was an expert in pharmacy (which I am not) but I am an expert in being a customer and therefore expect to be treated properly. In any case, there was absolutely no relevance to his line of questioning. He did give me his name, Ricardo, and the name of Pamela the branch manager. However, I was unable to phone in order to discuss the situation as a recorded message has been set up so contact is impossible. Date of experience: 12 May 2023
