I went with my family. The restaurant interior is severly dated but we were willing to forgive that for a delicious steak.Only one person doing the bar and taking orders and serving food, we quickly realised this had the potential for disaster. Our starters arrived. I have literally never been presented with a more disgusting plate of food. Ever dish, from the "seafood platter" to the "camembert parcels" was breadcrumbed and deep fried to a crisp. Clearly all freezer fresh from farmfoods. The soup was tinned and would stick to your ribs.We complained and said we were cancelling our orders for main courses. The place wasn't cheap and we were not prepared to pay this guy over £100 for this terrible food. He persuaded us to stay but the last straw was when the first of the main courses arrived, my (by now very hungry 5 year old's) "chicken burger" it was in a dry flour bap, was (you guessed it) breadcrumbed and deep fried to a burnt charred brick. I refused to feed my son this. We got up. Paid for our starters and left, with a torrent of abuse from the owner. On the way out we clocked another table with the "steak" it looked grey and severly disgusting. I'm glad we didn't stay. Horrendous! I hope nobody has to be put through that.
