Terrible Restaurant
This is a terrible restaurant to eat. The service is very poor and the price for a three course meal for 70 pounds is ridiculous in a place like Motherwell, I have had a better meal in a restaurant in Dubai and it certainly did not cost that price but the crazy people will pay anything to eat.

Totally fabulous
I've just read a review for this restaurant and I'm really surprised. The review above claims that the owner was very dismissive of a complaint and I find this very hard to believe. Any time I have visited Da Claudios I have found the food to be of a very high standard and not only that the service has been faultess. The owner is always very friendly, (hes the scottish guy) and attentive. As for value for money I dont think you can beat it. 70 quid for a 3 course meal including seafood, which is expensive to buy in the supermarket, sounds reasonable to me. However there are cheaper lunch and early evening meals to suit every budget. I would definately recommend this resataurant!!

absolutely faultless
I have ate at da claudio on numerous occasions and it just gets better each time. on my last visit I had the veal saltimbucca and think I've found my new favourite dish! I usually have the fillet in pepper sauce as the quality of meat used here is the best you will find, it really is melt in the mouth. The restaurant has recently had a major makeover which was needed in my opinion as the old style, despite having a warm atmosphere, looked a bit dated. Now though, the warm atmosphere remains but now has a great, modern but not too modern, feel to it too.The service is quick, friendly and very smart and whether i'm in with family friends or for a works lunch, I am treated with the same amount of professionalism.All in all, da claudios offers value for money which can't be beat and proves you don't have to go too far afield for quality!

Disappointing
I have been to this establishment on a number of occasions and on the most part have been happy. I did however have a very disappointing time last night. I ordered Sea Bass in a garlic and lemon sauce, and that is what I got lemon and garlic. I could not taste the lovely delicate flavour that should of been the fish as it was drowned in lemon and garlic, my better half ordered the king prawn and scallop special which was supposed to be in a white wine and garlic sauce. Instead of the chosen sauce she got king prawns and scallops in something resembling arabiatta sauce which once again detracted from the flavour of the seafood leaving the pallatte far to hot.When this was pointed out to the owner of the place he was very dismissive and quite rude about it. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.It was not worth the money we paid (nearly 70 quid in Motherwell???)
