Fire alarms provide an essential form of safety for your family or business. MDS offer a range of domestic and commerical products including wireless systems which reduce the need for cabling and installation time.

Conventional Systems

A conventional system is an excellent solution for small to medium sized premises such as houses, shops, small offices, etc. The system consists of a number of zones with various amounts of smoke/heat/glass break detectors on each zone and a separate circuit for the sounders. When the system detects a fire, the panel will show which zone number has been triggered and the areas in that particular zone can be checked to find the fire.

Analogue Addressable Systems

An analogue addressable system is more complex and intelligent and would be used on large buildings which would be difficult to check each zone area. These systems would be used in hospitals, schools, colleges, universities, large office blocks, nursing homes, factories, warehouses, hotels, etc. If a fire is discovered by the system, the panel will show the exact location of the fire for example 'Kitchen Heat Detector'. No time is wasted with this system and the fire can be extinguished quicker. Addressable systems allow sounders in the same circuit to reduce wiring which is another advantage.

We install and maintain wireless fire alarm systems that are effective when cables cannot be installed or if they will disrupt decor. The detectors have a battery life of approximately 10 years and these systems can be installed very quickly.
