Food review of Antrim Chinese

First choice is whether to sit in or take out but if you're not in a hurry I'd recommend you sit down for a while. Waiting area, bar and fish tank greet your arrival before the ever present and friendly staff lead you to your table. Service is of a very high standard and I assure you if you go in 7 different days in a week, you will see the same staff constantly at your service. I have attended this chinese during the week, ie weeknights and saturday nights but the best time to go here is undoubtably a Sunday between 1 and 6pm. The reason, well for £6.50 you manage to get a starter (go for the smoked chicken!), a main meal with chips or rice, a scrumptious desert and tea or coffee also, each course with a good range of choice. The great thing is that even for this unbelievably low price, the food is still of a very high standard and on the Sunday, the service is lightening fast. Barely have you finished giving your order and your good is on your lap (or the table!), kind of service I enjoy. For larger groups you can even have your own 'spinny table' to share, but hey, who wants to share when the food is so good! Booking is probably advised for weekend nights but the sunday lunch, just turn up and you'll be fine, never had any problems getting fitted in. Ambience is good and the music selection is satisfactory and kept at a low level. It's hard to think of a negative comment about this place and honestly, I have no business interests or shares in this restaurant, purely a satisfied and regular customer. Owner also owns 'Bamboo' in Ballyclare and has recently bought the chinese in Templepatrick so quite a wee empire and long time may it continue!
