Typically Chinese ambience - colourful bordering on gaudy. Small restaurant probably seats about 30. No one else here when we arrived at 6:45 sat evening but was almost full by the time we left.Service was excellent. Very attentive, courteous efficient and knowledgeable when questioned about the menu.Food: Extensive menu, typically Cantonese but with some more unusual and interesting options on the chef's specials section. We both started with soup, which was OK. Then I opted for Spicy King prawn vermicelli hot pot, which was well presented and very tasty. My partner opted for Chicken and cashews in a bird's nest. This was also very good except the basket, which being thin strips of fried potato just tasted of cooking oil. Maybe it wasn't intended to be eaten, just an interesting was of serving. A couple of toffee and vanilla ice creams with toffee sauce and squirty cream finished things off. These were obviously straight out of the freezer, but pleasant enough.Total cost including a couple of drinks was £38.Overall a reasonably good experience, maybe a little more expensive than it ought to be, but I would return.
