Get to Wire!
Wire is great for house music in particular but also Indie and the latest releases you can have a good sing along to. A great student hub, and there's always a great atmosphere and crowd.The location is perfect and great to end a night of touring Call Lane. The price is reasonable too, on a Thursday you can get in for £2 before 10 O'Clock and on a weekend the price is usually £6, or £5 with a student card. Downside for smokers is if you have to pay a pound to get a wristband in order to freely go inside and out to smoke. (OK it's only a quid, but it's the principle!)Being underground the club is quite dark, which only adds to the great atmosphere and individuality. You know you've had a good night if you stay till the lights come on at about 5! You won't want to leave!

Varied nights to be found here
I can offer opinions from a house music perspective, would be interested to see what other crowds make of this place...Wire's a small intimate venue, for house it is usually for afterparties starting around 4am. The use of smoke machines and strobes sits really well with the small, dirty (in a good way), grungy club feel.If you do end up there at 4am and make it till 7am then its also conveniently located near the bus station.In terms of price it is usually around a fiver to get in for these afterparties. Recommended if you still do not want the night to end!

Thursday Is The Night
As a student in Leeds you are constantly on the look out for the best places to go. There has be a mix of good music, a good atmosphere and reasonable prices.Thursday at The Wire is one of my favourite nights ever. Get there before 10 you get in for £2 and there is always some good drinks offers on. Although its quiet when you get there it quickly fills up and you can feel the atmosphere rising, right from the start the music is excellent, the dancefloor is packed throughout the night and it truly is a night by the end of it.
