Having seen all the extremely positive reviews here I decided it was time to try it out myself. So was I disappointed? Well yes, I was a bit.The restaurant has a small front section and down a few steps to the main rear. It is ok in terms of personal space. The drinks choice was somewhat limited but this is often the case in small restaurants. There was a good selection of appetizers and they were well received by our group.I thought the Pad Thai was excellent, less keen on the Goong Paw. Unfortunately the quality of the duck was poor (chewy). There is a whole page on the back of the menu of vegetarian dishes - so they are well catered for.Desserts were limited and a bit uninspiring.Portions were not generous given the price. The food is presented immaculately - most dishes are garnished with a tasty salad.Service is very friendly from the hosts. They were a bit overwhelmed once the restaurant had completely filled and it took a while between main and dessert.Worthing's very own Des Lynam is a patron here - but he didn't pop in yesterday!

The lovely friendly couple that run this quaint cozy restaurant, are my dear friends, and had they not been,it wouldnt take long to be the case.Their warmth and humour is a delight to sit and enjoy any meal to.They took me to Thailand, and to my surprise i did not find any dish taste as nice as dear suda's!Spices has built up quite a repuatation, even amongst the famous faces that adorn the wall there, and i can honestly say i have heard nothing but good comments from others! So please, hurry up and taste the real thailand, because there are plans to return home oneday. All the best Aire and Suda, love you both x

My wife and i have been dining out at Spices for years now. Not only is the warm welcome you recieve by husband and wife (Air & Som) legendary so is the food!! It truely is the best thai food (that can be cooked by Som to your specific tastes) your likely to find anywhere in the world (even in thailand!!) This restaurant couldn't come more highly recommended by us, a couple who really love and know excellent food.. You must try it out it's amazing and we're sure you won't be dissapointed!! I've been coming to Spices since 1997 and each time I visit Worthing I make a point of coming at least once during my stay. The food is as good as you will find anywhere with fresh ingredients prepared by husband and wife team Suda and Air in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. I've been recommending this restaurant to everyone I know who comes to the South coast but don't take my word for it - try it, you won't be disappointed! If you enjoy prawns then try the Goong Paw - delicious.I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I have been to all the Thai restaurants in Worthing and a few in other parts of the world. Spices is without doubt the best. Not only is the food superb and authentic, the ambience is special and the hosts Air and Suda always give a warm welcome. You have to try it.

Probably like many, having eaten at Thai restaurants for many years, we all have our favourite. Then, quite out of the blue, your favourite changes - in my case to Spices.Totally Superb Thai Food. So many restaurants provide "Tourist-Style" Thai food, but here you get the full flavour. How you spell the names I am not sure, but owners Air and Suda - phonetically accurate - are great hosts. Good friendly service and the best Thai cooking I have personally ever experienced.

Fantastic qaulity Thai Restaurant

The Spices Thai restaurant is situated on the front in Worthing and was discovered by us simply by chance when visiting a relative. It is run by a husband and wife team. The husband runs the restaurant and the bar; whilst his wife runs the kitchen only at weekends do they have any other staff. The welcome and service is first class with the owner making time to get around to each table to talk to his guests. There are other Thai restaurants in Worthing, including one Chinese that closed and re-opened as a Thai. Is the owner concerned? No, not at all. They have been there for over 15 years and are well established and offer an authentic, high quality menu. The food is simply the best Thai food I have tasted in the UK I just wish that Worthing was local!
