Jordan's is situated just off the main road through Ryton, heading towards Ryton Village itself. A very small and intimate venue, I was lucky enough to be treated to a meal here last Valentine's Day. Even getitng to the restaurant was a delight, as we walked through Old Ryton Village itself. On arrival, it was immediately apparent that the staff were both highly trained and very polite, as they took our coats and ushered us to our table. The special menu for the night was amazing, with a small but delicious-looking range of courses. My partner and I both chose to start with the soup, which was served with a crusty roll and was absolutely gorgeous. After our forst course, we were served a small shooter glass containg gazpacho, whoch was a lovely addition. For main course, I had a wonderful chicken dish, served with sliced potatoes and veg. My partner chose the lamb and both of our dishes were exquisitely presented. The main courses were beautiful and whilst waiting for out dessert, we were again treated to a small shooter glass - this time filled with sorbet. Mmmm! The last course was the best - i had the nicest chocolate dessert that I've ever tasted, whilst my partner chose cheese and biscuits. Every course at Jordan's was a true delight and to top of our evening, as we left the restaurant, each lady was given a single red rose and small bag of chocolates. Amazing! It may be pricey, but at Jordan's of Ryton, you certainly get what you apy for.
