If your looking for a roof that will last a lifetime these are the people for you. Boss Metals are traditional tinsmiths & install hand made roof coverings in copper (5 different finishes), aluminium (20 colours), zinc (4 finishes) & even stainless steel! Their work is a craft - in a similar way to a thatcher - & its an entirely different experience to employing a roofer from the yellow pages that can only offer boring finishes like felt & tiles. All they need is a plywood deck (min.18mm thick) constructed in the usual way by a carpenter - there's nothing complex about it. However, you can build pretty much any shape you like & they can decorate it to give you a bespoke one-off roof that will last 100 years +. I had an extension at the rear of my house & my Architect put me in touch with them. I had zincwork (a slate grey colour) that looks the absolute business - really hi-tech - & I'm thrilled with what they've managed to. The tinsmith that did my roof was an absolute gem of a guy who's worked with copper & zinc all his life & had a real passion about the craft. I didn't realise this type of traditional tradesman still existed in roofwork & would recommend this company to anyone that wants something special. 5 Star stuff for definate!
