A brief history of Stonefish Mosaics

Stonefish Mosaics is a Tiling company that puts finishing quality first. With many years experience in the Tiling industry the owner, Rob Tester, has created a vibrant and visionary approach to the visual art of Tile setting. Starting out as a Tile merchandiser for major retailers, he soon moved on to bigger and better things in the sector. Promoted to sample department manager for Bellegrove Ceramics, he was in charge of new store displays and showroom centrepieces. He eventually made the natural progression to Tiler, and travelled to Spain to learn different styles, from 'Seville' country styles to full on mosaic installations.Rob's passion for mosaics is the key to his overall success as a Tiler. Sadly too many Tilers won't touch mosaic work, even in relatively simple sheet form. It is considered too time consuming and fiddly. Rob has mastered this craft along with many others. Natural stone floors can be a beautiful addition to any home, but done incorrectly can be a costly disaster. Stonefish Mosaics have installed many beautiful marble and stone floors in Surrey, Kent and London. Most of them benefitted from underfloor heating, which we are happy to install as part of our service. Again, this takes a lot of TLC during installation, as each stone floor must be sealed and waxed correctly.Most of our work are simple Bathrooms, Kitchens, en suites, floors and utility rooms. There really is no job too small, but perhaps most tellingly, there is no job too large either. Utilising a team of up to four experienced craftsman, Stonefish Mosaics can accomodate any size job. We are polite, courteous, tidy, punctual and keep the radio to a minimum! Although occasionally issues do occur, it is against company policy to start a job then dissapear.
