Restaurant - Indian in Guildford
220 London Road
Guildford
Surrey

I am not going to recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Indian dishes. Imagine butter chicken is chicken tikka (hard and half cooked) added to a coconut rich sweet yellow curry (as confirmed by a staff member!! from when does butter chicken have coconut!!) if that is Bangladeshi style of butter chicken, kindly accept my apologies). The Vegetable Paneer jalfrezi was nothing like a jalfrezi dish unless again it was the Bangladeshi style!! ( Mainly vegetables sautéed with readily available curry paste off market shelves!!) On the positive side of things the bread Peshwari Naan was excellent (Not an Indian dish inherently!!) The staff were friendly up until an enquiry was made into the nature of the served dish! In my view I found my experience quiet dissatisfying and am writing this review immediately following the distaste I subjected myself to.

My wife and i went to this restaurant on saturday.Beautiful food and first rate service and at least here there was no officious maitre d stalking the table as there is in another of my favourite food restaurants,A non suttl clue is that summer might appear in the restaurant name but i bet most Guildford afficionado,s of Indian cuisine already knew
