We have called in here a few times over the last 2 years and have to say the food homemade and is very good.Found the inside a bit different from the norm you can sit outside in the garden on a hot summers day. This is much more a food pub than a drinkers one.

Nice honest food but pricey

Went here for lunch today with my other half after a recommendation from Mr Wheely.Had a half lamb shoulder and chicken with bacon and cheese. What huge portions. I can eat a lot, enough to make most people a little uneasy, but even I was full. The chips were superb, home cooked and deep fried and the lamb just fell off the bone.A nice place, my fiance was particuarly taken with the 2 goats and sheep in the back garden!Honest food, nothing fancy, so if you want haute cuisine go elsewhere.I will be returning and as they have a loyalty card the incentive is increased. 3 meals gets you free desserts, 6 gets you a free bottle of wine.

i went here last week and the food was out of this world. i had to order the fruits de mer in advance so they could source all the various seafood. I was amazed at the freshness and the variety. the service is outstanding, and the family that run it are first rate. if you are in this part of the world try it.

Great place for Sunday lunch

Although seemingly in the middle of nowhere, this pub is thriving - don't go without making a booking! We regularly have Sunday lunch here, and have always been very impressed with both food and service. Children eat free with paying adults, and portion sizes are very generous. There is a choice of roasts, and you can opt for a standard or smaller portion - both being on the large side in my opinion! A good range of starters and alternative dishes, plus a selection of desserts, completes the foodie experience. Staff are friendly and willing to help, prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!
