From start to finish booking a taxi with Gander Cars is a farce! After confirming that my partner would be collected from inside the terminal at Gatwick and that he should look out for a sign with the car company's name on, it quickly became clear that I had been lied to. After numerous, infuriating calls at the agreed time of collection the driver not only refused to do this, but it later became apparent he was not even at the airport 15 minutes after the booking time. We do not live in the UK and asked for to be called on an international phone, which they refused to do, however I was told that it is ok for us to spend our money and call them from our phones, even though these calls were required as a result of their incompetence... In fact I was told that it was unreasonable for us not have a UK mobile, despite spending 51 weeks of the year abroad. Even when my partner called the driver he could not get through. In the end he found another cab. Gander Cars are rude, unreasonable and unreliable - do not use unless you want to be stranded, dealing with people who couldn't organise a p$*s up in a brewery - let alone a car to collect someone from an airport.

Booked a cab at 5pm to pick us up from Reigate Hill Golf Course for 1am. That time came and went, after numerous calls and being assured that our cab would be with us in two minutes it still did not appear. By 2am with 4 tired adults and 2 very tired children we gave up and called Road Runners. They were with us within 12 minutes. Meanwhile Gander Cars were telling us that the driver could not get through the gate...there is no gate to this golf course! Ti make matters worse they called the home phone at 1:50am which woke the rest of the family up! It has been lies after lies after lies and the cab never showed. Awful service, bad communication and drivers who actually can't drive/don't know where they are going. My advice? Use someone else!

We ordered a cab for 11.30 pm for Christmas Day evening and was given a price. The cab turned up on time and was very patient as this was for my 84 year old Godparent. They did not differ from the price given, excellent service thank you very much.
