Pre-School

We welcome all children aged 2-5 years. We offer morning and afternoon sessions as well as a lunch club which can be used for continuous care.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and focus on the three prime areas: Communication & Language, Physical Development, and Personal, Social & Emotional Development, as well as the four specific areas: Mathematics, Literacy, Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts & Design.
We encourage children to achieve learning outcomes through fun activities and we structure our sessions to allow for circle time and individual and group activities.
We have a well planned layout where children can immediately access the home corner, book area, music area, writing table and creative area.
We have mid height toilets to help build confidence in young children using the toilet and have excellent nappy changing facilities for children. We will work with parents who are toilet training to ensure a consistent approach.

Breakfast & After School Clubs

We offer Breakfast Club and After School Club to children attending Boxford Primary School.
There is a quiet relaxed atmosphere in our Breakfast Club which makes for a great way for your child to start off their busy day. A selection of healthy breakfast is available.
A staff member will walk your child to Boxford School playground and stay until all the children have gone into school safely with their teachers.
After school our staff members will collect your child from the designated meeting point and bring them safely back to our setting. Here they can take part in a variety of activities. We also offer daily homework sessions for children attending until 5pm onwards. Children will be given a snack after school and a two course tea will be served at 4.30pm. We ensure the snacks and meals we provide are fresh and healthy. We cater for all dietary requirements and can support children with any allergies.

Holiday Clubs

During the school holidays we run themed holiday clubs such as 'Halloween Half Term', 'Outdoor Fun', 'Art Attack'. Our holiday clubs are open to children aged 2-12 years and we plan a variety of activities to suit each age group. All of our activities are optional as we know some children like to take part in structured games and others just prefer to play. We offer plenty of choice to keep everyone happy.

Our Setting

We are based in the grounds of Boxford Primary School. Our staff members hold either a Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Childcare Learning & Development and/or Playwork. They are DBS checked, highly motivated and dedicated to ensuring the extended development of each child. Our staff frequently update their professional development by attending training courses including First Aid, Working in Partnership, ELKLAN (Speech and Language), Outdoor Play, Two's Are Special and ECaT (Every Child a Talker).

We have a GOOD Ofsted rating and we are registered for funded places from 2 years plus. We also accept various Childcare vouchers.
