The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is a registered charity concerned with the care and conservation of wild owls and other birds of prey and the provision of information about such matters to the general public. It operates a raptor hospital for the care and recuperation of injured wild birds, a wild owl next box scheme and provides educational material outreach services to schools. The Sanctuary is open daily and flying demonstrations take place daily between Easter and the end of September. In addition to 80+ owls and other birds of prey, the sanctuary is home to a red squirrel colony and meerkat family. There is a pretty Woodland Walk with wildlife ponds, bug hotels and ladybird houses, a Sensory Garden with fragrant herbs, water feature and tactile seating and an inclusive children's play area with wheelchair accessible equipment and tumble safe surface. There is free parking outside the unique owlie gift shop and a restaurant on site.
