I went to Arista for lunch after looking at the reviews here. I must say the food did not disappoint, it was traditional, flavoursome Itailian food. The staff were also friendly, helpful and warm. Which canot be said for the resaurant itself, it was freezing, my friend kept her coat on the whole time! The toliets was even colder and not exactly very hygiene friendly! The resaurant itself could really do with some "Itailian-isation" to make it more authentic. but I have to say, I would eat there again, as the food was exceptional, and excellent value for money.

not too bad
I love Italian restaurants and recently my friends suggested that I try Arista restaurant as they said it was really nice. I have to say, the first time I went I really wasn't impressed, they were packed, it took ages to be served, it took ages for the food to come, it took ages for the next course to come and then it took ages for the bill to come. The next time we went, it was packed again, and yet the service is lightningly fast and couldn't be faulted. We had a fabulous time the second time! The menu is traditionally Italian and there is a good choice of dishes

Excellent Restaurant
This is a longest established Italian Restaurant, which I visit often. The set meals are excellent valu for money and the food is fab. Fantazia Artista is a starter 'one of a kind' with a fine tomato sauce Pastas I like Spaghetti Scoglio which is an authentic seafood meal and a home made traditional Tiramisu very nice indeed... For wine I suggest House Red which is so fine and dear.

Great Food
I went to Artista last Friday. The food (Scallopina Marsala with chicken) was excellent and the wine exceptional. I am looking forward to go back there soon.

Authentic and good value for money!
I am a regular customer of Artista restaurant and would just like to share with anyone who wishes to taste the finest italian cuisine, the food and service is excellent and comes highly recommended as is real value for money. I would just like to say to stroggy and stoday who both kindly took time to place their reviews that I strongly disagree with them, everyone is entitled to their opinions and have also have noted that there were no positive feedback for Zizi's restaurant either. Artista Restaurant's reputation and cuisine is the best in town if you want good, fresh authentic italian food that's the place to go - if you don't believe me give them a call and see for yourself!

Food is good!
I went there on Friday and had a Stracetti Quattro Formaggio. It is the best I have ever had. A glass of red wine was excellent and the place was packed full which indicates it is a popular place for locals. Well done Artista keep it up...

Appalling
We attempted to eat their last night. We had a table booked for the 2 of us and they were quite full with several tables of 2s and 4s and one table of 10. However we ordered our starters which was ham and melon and a tomato and mozarella salad with olive oil and basil. well it took 45 minutes and when it turned up i asked where the dressing was for my tomato and mozarella salad. Well the response was that theres the bottle of olive oil and you have 2 basil leaves! well after 2 appalling starters and a bottle of wine we cancelled the main dishes paid up and left. They didn't even care that their food and service was a disgrace to italian culture. We certainly won't be going back.

Arista Ipswich
Not even Gordon Ramsey could revive this establishment. I was amazed to overhear some other diners who had apparently dined there before. I guess there's no accounting for taste.
