not as good as it used to be
We returned to the Lindsey House after not eating there for a few months. The food was always delicious and the service was always excellent. Sadly, at this visit things had changed. The food was average, the beef was bland, the vegetables we just ok and the potatoes were a disappointment. We felt the wine was overpriced. Service felt very rushed, as if they wanted us out and to be shut by 9.00pm! There is a lack of atmosphere, and it is very quiet, you feel as if you should whisper to each other. The owner works 'front of house' but she does seem as if you are an inconvenience, not very friendly and made us feel unwelcome. We will not return to the Lindsey House.

Not as good as it used to be :(
We recently returned to The Lindsay House after not going in for a few months. The food used to be excellent and we always liked it here. Sadly, the food wasn't as good as it used to be. The beef was bland, the vegetables were ok, the potatoes were a disappointment. We felt the wine was over priced. There isn't much of an atmosphere in here either. Its very quiet, you feel as if you have to whisper to each other, and you do feel 'rushed', as if the owners want to be finished by 9.30! Sadly, we won't return.
