I wis FRAMED is an established business with over 25 years experience. Until 18 months ago I wis FRAMED traded by the name of City Framing.

With complete redecoration of the gallery and the addition of new ranges of moulding,the level of service and quality has increased.

We are one of the main framing companies within the Stoke-on-Trent area and continued to growth , we believe is down to our customer focus and reliability.

I wis FRAMED offers a bespoke framing service to Galleries,Artists,Companies and the General public.

We install various art objects such as paintings, Photography,posters, framed mirrors,textiles,
football shirts.We always utilize the correct hardware for the job so you can rest assured that your artwork would be safe in our possession.

Specialist Services

The first and most important thing is to select complimentary mounts and a frame.

Stocking a wide range of both it is easy to find the combination that will best enhance the piece being framed.

All of our products are to conservation standard which means in accelerated aging tests there is no increase in acidity ( acidity is one of the causes of brown stains in pictures and mounts.

Moulding sections are all made from natural and for the most part sustainable woods,we do not use the modern cheaper plastics.

The first step is to cut the mount individually to your picture so the fit is perfect. A backing is then cut again from conservation standard materials, hardboard or MDF are not used as they contain
acids harmful to paper and fabrics.

Our frame backings are a water resistant outer and a white inner. Next we fit the best quality float glass which is cut to fit, cleaned and polished on both sides.The mount,artwork,back and glass are then taped together to prevent the incursion of dust.

Finally the frame is cut and the whole product is assembled including fittings so it is ready to hang.
