A quirky little Indian restaurant

The Natraj in Taunton is quite a popular indian restaurant. From the outside you cannot tell alot, its a small shop front with a menu and doesn't give much away. On entry to the restaurant you can be assured of prompt service, drinks while waiting and a menu. The staff I found particularly pleasant and accomodating.If you are in a large crown of people it is common to be seated at the table at the very back of the restaurant. This has good and bad points, good point is theres a window you can open as it gets very hot, bad point is the lighting isn't brilliant and I like to see exactly what I'm eating.The food is pleasant, not too spicey in my opinion but can vary in taste week to week. Drinks are bought promptly and the wait for food is typically not long. I like that sometimes an extra dish is bought out which you are not charged for, but just asked to give an opinion afterwards.I have on many occassions been given a calendar after my meal (around Christmas time) which is a thoughtful freebie.All in all not a bad restaurant at all!
