Relaxed with no surprises

This is a good place to go for breakfast on a Sunday morning when you can't be bothered to cook. It is large and popular - never empty at any time of day but particularly busy at weekends. It's a popular stop off point for cyclists and walkers.There are no surprises. The menu is quite extensive in that it does breakfasts, main meals and afternoon teas but none of it has a home-made feel about it. It is very much relatively-cheap and cheerful. Service is efficient and friendly enough.Since most of the meals that people will order will be cooked in cooking oil there is a pervasive smell of the stuff which, if you don't follow up with a walk in the fresh air, will stick to your clothes.They usually have an array of newspapers to read though last time we went there didn't seem to be any. Perhaps they are cutting back.
