The story of the Bricross company has its feet fixed in the early 1970s where the company founder Tony Bristow wanted to find a way to drastically reduce the cost of bike ownership.
With this he created a full range of bikes from small folding shoppers, to high spec racing bikes. The company grew and became to top brand of bike in the UK in the 1970s and early 1980s Bricross was also the first company in the UK to bring in the BMX which became the number one bike for over ten years.

Back in the early 1970s a keen cyclist and tool maker from Birmingham decided to buy two bikes for his children, and was shocked to find that the small Childs bikes were well out of his familys household budget. So he did what any fine tool maker would do, and he decided to make his own, and from the two bikes he built for his children was born one of the largest bike distribution companies in the UK, and the companies main aim, to build quality bikes at low cost. The company had many key achievements in the 1970s and 1980s, they include: To drastically reduce the high cost of bikes in the UK. To bring into the market the first folding shopping bike. Bricross Cycles closed its doors in the late 1980s, but due to the recent need for quality at low cost, the companys founder Tony Bristow, has decided to re launch the company working out of its new base in Oxfordshire.
