Iceland - where customers are tolerated. Just.
Having made the mistake of visiting Iceland about 10 minutes before they are supposed to close, the metal shutters are part down to dissuade all but the most determined of customers. When I get to the checkout (a LONG queue as they like to operate just the one till most of the time), the checkout woman is complaining loudly to her friend about inconsiderate customers leaving everything to the last minute. Dreadful attitude - but one I have heard other complain of in Iceland so I think perhaps more than on staff members dislikes customers. On the plus side, the top end of the shop no longer smells as bad as it used to. I assume they have found / sorted out what the problem was. Strange old world.
