I visited last night with a friend and we purchased one of the many meals that come into the above deal. It was a tasty dish (Italian Chicken - breaded fillet with tomato and basil sauce and grated cheese on top) but only came with half a grilled tomato and coleslaw. It would be better with salad and the huge gap on the plate emphasised this. The waiter was very good, as he asked if there was anything else we'd like and when I answered some garlic bread he sorted that out for me (though I could tell he didn't really want to!) There's lots of choice on the 2 for £10 menu so I recommend you hit this pub for a value meal.

Going down
Until recently this used to be one of my favourite eating places of its kind in Kettering. Unfortunately it appears to be going downhill rapidly. Staff have changed and are not as customer-focused, only one cask ale offered (Greene King IPA) which is often off, carpet near bar area covered with thick crust of spilt food and drink. Gents toilet has 1 working light fitting out of 5, with some exposed wiring. No working light in either cubicle, which are pitch black with doors closed. This induced a severe panic attack in my companion who had to leave in great distress. A complaint to the duty manager met with an indifferent reaction, and faults still not fixed after more than 3 months! Food, however, is more than acceptable.

very nice place
i love this place i eat there nearly every day, i think the staff are very friendly!!! i think the food is great value for money and the food is lovely, there are so many dishes to choose from and the sharing starters are a great idea you can share with the whole group while sittinng in the garden having a swift half!! ;-)

Very aptly named pub
This pub is in a location so it really is Hobsons Choice to go there, they are on the expensive side and it's not one of my favorite places to go to. It is very family friendly and their meals are hearty if not inventive. Not my sort of place, but it is often hard to get a decent table so obviously not everybody agrees with me!
