I was aiming to have a 'romantic meal' here with my partner on Thursday 9th April 2009.......but instead we recieved some of the worst customer service I have EVER experienced!! We booked a table for 8pm, turned up at 8pm, got ignored for 10mins then told that the table wasn't ready....after blaming the delay on 'bloody' customers we got turned away to a local pub and told to come back in 20mins. 8.20pm - turned up and got seated. Its a lovely place inside, so all was forgiven for our earlier experience. The waitress took our order...everything going well so far....Then we waited...and waited...and waited...Until 9.15pm......still no sign of our food (only a pizza and a salad....nothing too complicated). I then enquired as to where our food was and the problem for the delay....a waitress with the world worst attitude and chip on her shoulder then said that it was our fault the food was late as we had ordered a side of roast veg that took 20mins to cook.....this was 50mins after we had ordered it?!?!? She then said it was our fault for not placing our order until 8.25pm.....well we would have ordered earlier if we hadn't been sent away to the local pub on arrival!! and the we were told it was the fault of all the other customer in the restaurant as they had all put food orders in too......how very dare they!!! Our food arrived...a bit rushed, but sloppy and pizza a bit soggy! We had the joy of receiving dirty looks from the waiting staff for the duration of our stay and didn't get as much as an apology for the wait. This hideous restaurant and it's moody staff spoilt our night out.......we'll stick to the fish and chip shop next time!!!!

Top notch Italian restaurant with wood-fired oven pizzas. The only downside is that you usually have to book in advance. The first time we tried to eat there, they couldn't fit us in, and we ended up at the truly dreadful Alessi's across the road (avoid!).
