Customers will appreciate the quick delivery and the very well made food. Thank you for choosing Darjeeling Tandoori, order a takeaway online and see why our customers consider us the best!

Wine and dine your family and friends in the sophisticated surroundings of our restaurant and order from our extensive a la carte menu which represents excellent value. We also offer a full take away service where, if you are spending over £25 and live within two miles of us, we will deliver free of charge. On Sundays we offer something almost unique in the local area, our Sunday Lunch Buffet.

The restaurant opens at 12 noon and the buffet is served between 12.30 and 3.00 (approximately). Eat as much as you like from the 12 or so dishes on offer which normally include tandoori as well as curry and a vegetarian option, naan, samosa etc., indeed a good selection of the dishes you would normally expect from the a la carte menu. Also includes papadam starter and chutney tray.

Beautifully and warmly decorated. Soothing arches at the entrance. Gorgeous read and gold pictures. Red banquettes. The seats on the right are perpendicular to the wall in private alcoves, whilst those on the right have banquettes on the wall side so you can face into the room and get a wider vista. The Churchill plates by Jeff Banks have a red pattern on the edge which echoes the red touches in the paintings and the banquettes. The menu lists dishes as mild, medium and hot, enabling me to opt for the milder dishes, and others to opt for hotter dishes. The rest of the main courses are also listed by types of meat. I went for the usual chicken jaipuri. The bread (peshawri nan) was already cut into four so the four of us could all take a section without having to finger the bread and tear at it.Service was very obliging. Everything was 'no problem'.The usual ice cream desserts menu came up and when we asked for Indian desserts we were told nobody asks for them. One of our group wittily replied, 'I'm nobody!'They did have pistachio kulfi which was delicious, to be savoured. And just the right temperature and consistency, neither a block of ice not melting into a pool.Coffee was good too, with loose brown sugar and served elegantly. The only Nepalese dish on the menu was one with mango. Very pleasant. The music sounded like Sixties. Bob Dylan - all very distinct words sung slowly with a strong repetitive beat and cheerful themes.Their other branch in Crowthorne has a more extensive menu. Sunday lunch buffet 12-3 for £8.95.We'd opted for an Indian meal in the hope of finding somewhere cheaper than the average. After reading menus at three other restaurants in the area, we chose this place as more elegant and interesting. If price is no object, yes, definitely go here.Although the address is Ickenham the nearest station is West Ruislip.
