I had been to gyms in the past but after a few weeks lost interest, or got fed up after not getting instant results. I first started training with Chris in August 2013, after finally deciding I needed a push and somebody to help me stay focused. My first impressions of Chris were very good from the outset. Firstly we had an initial taster session, in which he asked me what my goals and objectives were, what my standard diet was, how often I drank, and how active I currently was. He then followed that up by taking my blood pressure, weight, leg and arm measurements and then some initial pre start photographs. All this was done before we even got into the gym! Chris' taster session was very good, with a lot of short and mixed exercises, designed to give you a taste of what to expect when you train with him. Then before my first full session, Chris had designed a diet and training plan for me to help me achieve my long term goal of gaining lean mass without putting on too much weight. Chris' training is more of a lifestyle change rather than just the hour you're in the gym. I have now been training with Chris for 12-13 weeks, and in that time I have acheived the following:- Reduced body fat from 20% to 18.5% Reduced Visceral fat Less mass gain (without increasing waist size) Upper leg size has increased by 1.5 inches Upper arm size has increased by .75 inches I also generally feel, fitter, healthier and better for the training. What can I say about Personal Trainers! Well, I can only speak from experience and my time spent training with Chris Walker so far has been just that - an experience. Although not old by any stretch of the imagination (35) fifteen years of a sedentary working lifestyle, sitting behind poorly designed ergonomic desks for a minimum of 8 hours per day, brought about a multitude of physical problems, mental fatigue and emotional hang ups. To cut a long story short in a short space of time I have started to reverse the negative effects built up over the last 15 years. Problems of which had so long been written off as "wear and tear", "arthritis" and "par for the course" by various GP's. Difficulties I was once led to believe I had to persist with have now either gone or going. I have Chris Walker to thank for all this improvement to my health. Chris has an ability to adapt a programme not only suit your current condition but also your frame of mind and goal setting whilst working around all those other frequent problems that arise when undertaking any serious training regime.
