These reviews are all quite dated, I have been visiting Oblio's for over two years and the staff cannot do enough to help. The food and atmosphere are fantastic, and although a little bit more expensive than some places in town, I always feel it is worth it. Felt I needed to speak up to bring balance to the reviews. By the way, I was on this site to get their number to try and buy some of their local bread (which is gorgeous) and they had run out. To prove my point about customer service, they have put one aside from their own supplies for me.

NOT THE BEST COFFEE IN TOWN ANYMORE!
This place i used to love going to after the gym and now you go in and its very uncomfortable! you feel like a chore and a problem to the staff there, and the worst thing is the coffee has got really bad, i don't see any faces i'm used to seeing, i take it the whole place has changed hands? but not for the good, i cannot believe how different the place is, there is no star rating in the shop window anymore, the food is expensive and doesn't look freshly made, cheap bottled drinks in the fridge shelves! i cannot go there for my coffee anymore, so disappointed in what the place is now!

I left not long after the new owners took over, I feel bad for all these disappointed customers on here. I had been at Hallam's Deli just under 7 years just after it first opened. (And under Oblio's for just 2 months). I knew the place so well! I was always very friendly with customers, I met so many nice people, I knew all theirs names, things about their families, what they we're doing at the weekend and even where their going on holiday etc. and they'd come and tell me all about it after too! the list could go on with the amount of friends I made there even though the customers could of been 30 to 60 years older then me they felt like they were my friends they knew so much about me too, and I really do miss them all..... I had created so much loyal return custom other the years for my service and hard work, knowledge of all products, quality of my cooking and my coffee making skills that kept customers coming back. I always got lovely comments of people about what I did. I loved my job! and miss It so much. I felt pushed out of it by the new owners and felt I had no choice but to quit. Im now still unemployed and looking for a similar job I can enjoy and support my 4 month pregnant partner and my 3 year old son. Im really happy I keep finding all these poor reviews about them on this website and 4 or 5 reviews on a couple of others I've found, the best thing is they are ALL dated after I left (end of May this year). Its really sad but the new owners think they can throw all their inherited money and illegal DRUG money! (which they passionately loved to brag about) into it and it will be a success! It takes ALOT more then throwing your money into make a business work, customer service is key! The amount of bad reviews I've found in such a short space of time is shocking!! Good luck to them..... Im very proud of what I helped created and achieved there, I will take that knowledge and everything I've learnt with me and one day I will have my own business. :-) Thank you for reading.

not impressed
i went in for a fathers day hamper not relising it had changed ownership, unfamiliar faces behind the counter and a child running around the food area. not impressed, bring back old staff!!
