Brian Fare Aviation Art is a local business based in the rural market town of Melton Mowbray

Specialises in producing military aviation artwork for customers who have a connection with the Royal Air Force (RAF) either via serving themselves, a relative of someone who served or is an aviation enthusiast. I have received no ‘formal' training in art and am entirely self-taught. All of the illustrations produced by myself are hand-drawn using graphite pencils ranging from 6H to 9B producing images that vary in tone from the richest of blacks to the purest of whites including all shades of grey in between.

The primary focus of my artwork is aircraft of the RAF and is depicted in my drawings as either an individual aircraft or a selection of aircraft either operated by a Sqn or as a collection of aircraft worked on by an individual throughout their career. Another branch of my aviation artwork is producing montages of scenes from various RAF Stations, again where individuals have served throughout their career. It is a common occurrence for requests of these drawings to be produced featuring the Crests of the RAF, Commands, Units or Squadrons, using both current operational crests and those that are no longer in existence. In addition to aviation art, I also produce pet portraits, again using graphite pencils as my chosen medium.
