At Compass Fostering, we're looking for foster carers who can give a child a childhood. Many children and young people who come into foster care have never experienced some of the things we associate with childhood, like going to the seaside or flying a kite. So if you can create some great, lasting memories, we would like to hear from you.

About Us

Compass Community was established in 2012, bringing together a group of independent fostering agencies under one organisation. Each of the agencies retains their own local identity, while receiving the support of a larger organisation.

The ethos of Compass Community is to provide excellent support for children and young people requiring foster care - to give a child a childhood. At the same time, we look after our foster carers, providing excellent support, training and pay.

We place great emphasis on the training of our staff, foster carers and support teams, to ensure the very best outcomes for the foster families we work with.

Our Vision

Compass Community fostering agencies aim to be recognised and respected by all our partners and stakeholders (local authorities (LAs), carers, staff, children and Ofsted) for the high standard of our work, the professional expertise of staff and carers, our partnership approach and aspirations for the children we care for.

We subscribe to principles of social enterprise and undertake to develop a sustainable company and extend fostering in terms of skills and innovation. We offer good rewards and development opportunities for carers and staff who have responsibility for their own practice.

We endeavour to encourage creativity while ensuring effective planning for children and the business and evidenced results.

Our Aims

To provide services that improve the self-esteem, confidence, life chances, achievements and placement stability of the young people placed with us.

To work closely with Local Authorities by designing and providing services that meet local need and promote young people's integration into their local communities and networks.
