Mycott manufacturing Ltd was originally known as BT Precision manufacturing UK Ltd and started out in two small units on the Sketchley Lane Industrial Estate in Hinckley.

Mr Peter Towers and Mr William Bennett, both of whom have worked in manufacturing since leaving school, established BT Precision manufacturing UK Ltd in 1983.

The company was originally a partnership and was located in two small industrial units of 850 sq feet producing production components to customers' drawings.

After 3 to 4 years of success in this area, the company started to expand into one off prototype and small batch work.
In 1989 having moved into new premises the company continued its expansion of the machining facilities. In addition to work already being produced, the manufacture of jigs, fixtures and special purpose machines to customer drawings and specifications was added to the services offered.

At the end of 2004 the company changed its name to Mycott manufacturing Ltd and continued its tradition of high quality and service.

Since the company was first formed, its dedication, determination and drive, has established itself as one of the leading precision manufacturing companies in the area, building up a strong reputation for quality and reliability.

In February 2008 Mycott manufacturing Ltd once again re-located, this time returning to its origins at Sketchley Lane Industrial Estate, in order to streamline and improve the service it offers to both old customers and new.
