The Elderflower is located on Mill Lane Mews and serves traditional French and British cuisine. Hidden just off North Street from the thriving Ashby town, it creates a peaceful getaway for a lavish lunch or delicious dinner.

It has only been open since January 2013, but The Elderflower has already gained a vast amount of attention due to its inviting atmosphere, charming décor and award-winning head chef. Owner Timothy Slack has been trained by some of the world's top chefs, and is aiming high to help The Elderflower become one of the finest restaurants in Leicestershire.

The restaurant is elegant and humble, decorated in a classic palette of creams and blacks with attractive art pieces adorning the walls. The full-room skylight brightens the entire dining room and gives a more contemporary ambience.

Having previously worked in Michelin star and AA Rosette restaurants, Chef Timothy Slack has created a diverse aromatic menu largely inspired by his French upbringing. The menu features a whole host of modern and traditional dishes such as Pork fillet and Black Pudding Potato cake with a succulent Scallop and Elderflower mousse; Saddle of Venison with Celeriac remoulade, Pea Cabayon and a rich Red Wine jus; and Spiced Monkfish marinade of Basil and Lemon in a superb Fennel and Vanilla bisque. The menus are updated regularly to showcase the many talents of the Chef and his team, and the Sunday Lunch menu takes the classic English roast and enhances it with the freshest seasonal vegetables and meats.
