About Us

Ashworth View Nursery was opened in September 2013 by Rochdale's Lord Mayor, Peter Rush. We are situated in a stunning rural location and we have amazing outdoor play areas which need to be seen to be fully appreciated. The building has undergone a full renovation and been completed to the highest standard and is fantastically equipped.
An Ofsted inspector visiting the nursery commented “I have been blown away by this experience, this setting is truly fantastic". All of our staff are fully qualified to a minimum of level 3 and hold a paediatric first aid certificate.
We are registered to take children from 0 to 8 years, and have spaces available now. We are open from 7.30 to 6.30 Monday to Friday and have an open door policy. Call in for a tour anytime, alternatively viewings can be arranged for evenings and weekends by appointment.

Learning and Development

Ashworth View Nursery is spilt into 3 rooms. The little Lambs is our baby room for children aged up to 2 years. Busy Bees is for children aged 2-3 years, wise owls is for children aged 3 and above. Each room follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The Early Years Foundation Stage is a statutory framework that sets the standards that all Early Years provisions must meet to ensure that children and develop well and are kept safe and healthy. Within the EYFS there are 7 areas of learning, these are spilt into 2 sections. There are 3 prime areas which are Physical Development, Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development. The other 4 areas are called the specific areas and these are Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the World, Expressive Arts and Design.
Each child will have their own learning journey which will include observations of the children, children's development and achievements. Parents are encouraged to access these whenever they like.
