I must be hard to please. The Harvester had a make over a couple of years ago. It used to be called The Queensway. Quite honestly i preferred it as it was. They have crammed more tables in the resturant installed a salad bar and called it a refurb. Also, as with most 'eateries'these days the stereo system is just that bit too loud and the music is, incomprehensible. Not just because the volume is distorted but in terms of why would you want to listen to Eric Clapton's 'tears in Heaven' when your'e trying to enjoy the Horn of Plenty (basicaly a knickerbocker glory with some trendy berries) Sorry I din't rate it or its salad bar!

I have been here many times as I only live a short walk away. There is a good choice of food but the place can get quite busy at times therefore you may have to wait until there is a table available. I have not had to wait for more than about 15 minutes so far though. There is a lot of chicken dishes. They also have steaks, pasta, fish, platters and more. There is a salad cart which you can help yourself to to at no extra charge. I personally prefer the decor now to before they refurbished the place. I think it is well thought out and fitting with the name of the pub/restaurant. The portion sizes are big and I never manage to eat a full three courses. I usually have a main course and manage about a third of a dessert. There is an offer to get a third of the price knocked off your meal if you go before 6.30pm Mon - Sat (not 100% sure of these days but I'm pretty sure that they don't do the offer on a Sunday). They often run out of some of the desserts on the menu though. The food is good and the prices are fair. I always enjoy coming here and plan to come here many more times in the future.
