About Us

Located in the Bowland Forest in a spectacular Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Stephen Park is a picturesque 17th Century large rambling farmhouse. Nestling in the heart of Gisburn Forest surrounded by a serene and unspoilt landscape with breath taking views, velvet green valleys, commanding fells and heather strewn moorland. With this beautiful setting, it's a great place to enjoy all the activities we have on offer!

The Centre

The centre offers children the opportunity to experience outdoor activities in their natural environment in a safe and structured way whilst retaining the elements of challenge and fun. We recognise that it's important to be kept busy, stimulated, challenged and entertained whilst on a residential course, and that's exactly what we deliver. Cycling
, Den Building, Archery, Bushcraft, Team Challenge, Mini-beast Safaris, Orienteering and Problem Solving.

Evening Activities

Campfire, disco, barbecue, night lines, team games, arts and crafts. These are just some of the activities available and as a small centre we provide a refreshing alternative to the large adventure centres. We are also one of the few which offer sole occupancy for your school. We are happy to tailor activities during your stay in order to ensure maximum personal development and team building opportunities for each pupil as well as plenty of fun. We offer pupils many opportunities to experience success and to celebrate their achievements which in turn leads to greater self confidence and improved self esteem. For many children this is often their first time away from home and can be a very powerful learning experience.

We have a range of bedrooms available. For the children we have bunk rooms and a selection of single and double rooms for teachers. Many of the rooms have stunning views and all have been recently renovated and are clean, bright, centrally heated and well ventilated. The centre has numerous hot showers and toilets and our cleaners are in every day.

Our highly qualified instructors bring out the best in every child and as well as the opportunity to enjoy and experience new activities, our staff team understand the personal and social educational learning opportunities that can be gained. They have the skills to create meaningful learning experiences in a positive learning environment.

Forest Den Café

All of our products have been locally sourced and the products on sale have been carefully selected to suit everyone's needs, so the start up menu is looking really great. We have chosen to stock Uncle Bob's ice cream, a local product from Chipping which is a creamysoft flavoured treat and our fresh ground Fair trade coffee from our new equipment has been tried, tested and enjoyed by ourselves and other local employees and businesses to ensure we've got it right. All you have to do now is come and try our wares and if you are happy please tell your friends and family! We hope to see you soon!
