A good authentic italian restaurant with character...
I have been to this restaurant about five times over the last 18 months, I searched the internet for the phone number and came across the negative reviews.....If I am honest I am fairly surprised at some of the negativity. I have always had a very good meal and cannot fault the food.....I will admit the service is a little hit and miss on rare occasion, however this is almost part of the character of the restaurant, you go here for the night, not a quick bite to eat of an evening, if you are in a hurry probably not the right choice, however if you want a night out I can't think of anything better....As for rudeness, I have not been to a more friendly restaurant in this country, we have always been made to feel very welcome, will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend to friends.

i went there on wednesday 17/11/10 and was very impressed. The food was very nice, service great, staff very nice and efficient. I wanted to go because i have booked a staff do there over the christmas period and wanted to make sure my staff wouldn't be disappointed. I think i have made a good choice and look forward to my staff party.

I*VE BEEN TWICE VAND I REALLY LIKE IT A LOT!I DON*T KNOW WHAT THIS LADY IS TALKING ABOUT BECAUSE EVERYBODY WAS VERY NICE FAR AWAY FROM RUDE,SPECIAL THE MANAGER:U SHOULD SEE HIM,IS SOW FUNNY AND FRIENDLY!!!!!!THE FOOD WAS ALWAYS EXCELENT AND WE HAD LOVELY EVENING!I TOOK MY FRIENDS FOR THE FIRST TIME AND THEY WERE VERY IMPRESSED ABOUT THE RESTAURANT AND ABOUT HOW THEY MANAGE IT!I WILL RECOMAND THIS PLACE!I*VE BEEN IN MANY ITALIAN RESTAURANTS BUT I PERSONNALY THIS IS THE BEST I*VE EVER BEEN!

i was once whit my husband and childrens and i think is a good restaurant!they give a surprize toy to the children and the food is good!they have specials chairs for babys!this is nice thing cause nowbody has specials chairs!in the weekends is always a party!we had a party there and everybody stayed as long as we wanted to stay there,was no problem!i will go again!

THE BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT!
I AM SURE THAT *DA PEPPINO* IS ONE OF THE BESTS ITALIAN RESTAURANTS IN ENGLAND!THE FOOD IN JUST GREAT,REALLY NICE,THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND THE MANAGER IS ALWAYS TALKING AND MAKING JOKES WHIT THE CUSTOMERS!SOW IS A VERY VERY FRIENDLY ATHMOSPHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I LOVE IT!

Good quality pizzas and pasta dishes
If you stick to pizzas and pastas its not bad at all.....Ive been twice in the last two weeks. Pizzas and pastas are well flavoured and portions are generous.

WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH!!!!!
This is the worst restaurant I have been to in a long time. The food was terrible and over-priced for very basic dishes. A very dry piece of steak with no flavour or juices (and no steak knife to attempt to cut through it!), a whole fish wrapped in silver foil (presentation was rubbish) served on a plate with no accompaniments. Pinot Grigio by the glass definitely tasted watered down. One extremely LOUD member of staff (manager probably) who didn't have the time of day for anybody and was very abrupt, often taking an order from one table whilst shouting at his staff from across the restaurant. Very over-priced for a glorified pizza/pasta place with a popular bus stop outside (i.e. queues of people watching you eat). I definitely WOULD NOT recommend this restaurant and would never go there again! There are much nicer places for the price (oh, and service of 10% is included in every bill - even though the service is very, very basic). AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!
