Just up the hill from the Clocktower, a few steps away from the Old Town; The Gallery Margate can be found in historic Cecil Square. Our family-owned bar is open seven days a week for quality home-made food, a wide range of your favourite alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and entertainment as diverse as Margate itself.
Whether you want a delicious breakfast or lunch with your family, an afternoon pint with your friends or to party with us on our club nights, we guarantee the best possible service for our every customer. Cecil Square was once home to Prince Henry, Duke of Cumberland and Strathearn and we strongly believe that our customer service reflects our location's royal history by treating our guests as well as we would our blue-blooded neighbour.
Our beautiful new refurbishments, (coming Summer 2017) new, locally-inspired menus and exciting entertainment programme seek to echo Margate's rich leisure history. From clairvoyant evenings, to reggae nights, to VIP booth parties; from Sunday carveries to live music and even to the celebration of up-and-coming artists; we seek to cater for Margate's rich and varied culture.

Second time eating at the gallery and spot again. I had the chicken pie and chips which had such huge chunks of meat. Delicious. The ham egg and chips had a thick cut of ham and the children's burger was more like an adults size. Great quality and portions. Will definitely visit again next time I'm down...

Popped in with a friend for a Sunday roast - it was a real treat to be served food that didn't come straight from the freezer! The meat was great, nicely seasoned, with an assortment of fresh vegetables. Excellent value, and a really nice venue. Will definitely return for another meal when I'm back in the area.
