Kitchen Glass Splashbacks

I have been contacted by several members of the public, who have bought coloured glass Splashbacks on the net. Only to find that once installed, if any Heat is applied either by radient heat behind the hob or even by Steam from a kettle's spout, the Glass has Cracked.Please ensure if you are installing Glass Splashbacks, that you only buy from reputable companies that have experiance in this field. Toughened Glass must always be used anywhere the Glass may get Hot. As once toughened the Glass can withstand Heat to over 600 Degrees centigrade. Also through a proper manufactuirng business, you can obtain the glass in any colour, rather than in a limited range. Be prepared to pay a little more, but it will be worth it. Also shapes can be cut in one piece of glass up to around 3.2 meters long, this looks really good where you have cupboards either side of an extractorhood and the glasscan be cut in an upside down "T" shape.
