Prices

How much will it cost? Well if I am working on site the price is charged in 30 minute increments (£25 for first half hour and £15 for each half hour thereafter) plus parts where applicable, but to keep costs down I do most of my work at home. For example if on site I will charge according to total time taken which would not be appropriate in my own environment. Alot depends on how much automation is involved in the task. For example, a virus scan can take 30 minutes to 2 hours, but one started does not require my attention. While updating drivers or replacing hardware may take 15-30 minutes, but require my full attention.

Where possible I will collect your system to work on at home and return the next day or evening (7 days a week) unless waiting on parts. I will phone you with a fixed quote for repair leaving you the options to either go ahead or have it returned without charge. Some tasks such as networking may only be carried out on site or other tasks be so quick to carry out that it's not worth taking away. Please give as much info as possible when booking to make sure you get the best deal.

Computer services vary greatly from one task to the next and can be hard to identify on the phone so any phone/email estimates will be just that! A fixed quote cannot be given without my seeing the machine.

For a fixed quote I can pickup to examine at home and drop off after the job is completed or the free quote rejected, If I have to diagnose on site I will charge my usual rates as above.
