Really nice!

Up until now, i have never been to a belgian brasserie, so i wasn't really sure what to expect!I'd heard good things about Abbaye and i'm glad the reputation was well deserved. They have a huge range of beers, some i'd never heard of before! Its well worth coming here just to try the beers! The service here is fantastic, i couldn't fault it at all. The waiter we had was really nice. There is a large selection of food on offer, quite a few fish based dishes but also plenty of meat dishes too. A few vegetarian as well. All the meals i've ever had here have always been delicious!

Something for everyone

Service

The venue was chosen for its central location, the menu which needed to cater for a wide range in tastes and its reasonable prices.Being a Saturday night the place was packed, despite this our table was ready and the service was good and remained constant throughout the evening. We were not rushed and there was a measured time between each course. All of the courses when of a good size and quality. Amongst the dishes ordered we tried the mussels, cod/spinach croquettes, Crevettes Piquantes (king prawns), battered cod, sirloin steaks, and the Braised lamb shank in a rosemary and garlic jus and several desserts. All were good.Abbaye, being a Belgium brasserie, if known for its mussel and range of beers...a justified reputation!
