The best place ive ever eaten

This is the only place me and my boyfriend will ever go for a special occation. The menu is fantastic and the food is even better. it has gorgeous starters( especially the specials) and the home made deserts are to die for. They always give me a bit of two when i cant make my mind up. And you really cant fault the staff, they do look after you so well. I've only ever been in the evenings, and its so friendly, romantic and personal. And the best thing is it really doesn't cost the earth. And there wont be any need to grab a kebab later on in the night, trust me you'll be stuffed.

A great italian!

I went to ashford shopping centre with my girlfriend for the day and popped into the main town. We decided to try this place on the off chance that they would have some seat available. We were lucky as they gave us some seats just as a large party of people came in! The menu is traditionally italian with some additional specials for you to choose from. The dishes that we had were both delicious as were the puddings. We didn't leave feeling hungry! Unfortunately the service was a little slow, probably because of the amount of customers, but the staff were all really friendly and happy!

Much that is good at Trattoria Romana

This small, unpretentious trattoria is situated just off of one of the main shopping streets in Ashford. It is run very professionally by Italians, and has much that is good about it. I had a pasta ragu starter, which was delicious although the pasta was slightly overcooked, and a fillet steak for a main course. The steak was good quality and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The saute potatoes were crisp, as were the vegetables of the day.I couldn't eat a dessert but the sweet trolley looked absolutely amazing. I had some good coffee, and half a bottle of perfectly drinkable house red wine. The bill came to £32 excluding tip.Service was friendly and professional, in fact hard to find fault with it, except that the waiters tend to pace up and down the restaurant when they are not otherwise engaged and that can be a bit off-putting! But I am being picky - this is a most enjoyable Italian restaurant - not quite in my top ranking - but certainly one I shall look forward to returning to.
