In 1804, our gastropub was given the title The Honest Miller. The significance dates back to the Saxons, when the miller cheated the Romans by giving them short measures of flour. His ears were cut off as punishment and also to give a warning to others. Millers who didn't want to fall into the same category as their luckless and earless colleague all put signs up saying that they were honest millers.
Gareth has created a contemporary British gastropub menu with lots of twists on classics, which are all based on the great British pub. A beautiful garden is available for all the family, including dogs, to enjoy as well as plenty of parking facilities.
From baking our own bread to making our own ice cream, you only receive freshly prepared, delicious food at our gastropub. Our menus are full of dishes carefully made with fresh, local produce. Our mouth-watering steak and kidney pudding is one of our biggest sellers!
