Lavender Lodge is a residential home for up to 9 adults with learning disabilities, who may also have mental health conditions and complex needs. The home is located in the historic market town of St Albans. St Albans boasts excellent transport links, shopping, leisure facilities, restaurants, libraries, parks as well as historic Roman sites.
Residents living in Lavender Lodge are encouraged and supported to have an active role with the day to day running of the home and in having a say in how their services are delivered. All care and support provided is holistic, person-centred and individuals are encouraged to be as independent as they can be.
Residents are supported to access the local community and its amenities, which include college and work opportunities.
Lavender Lodge offers a stepping stone for residents to develop their skills, gain confidence and work towards moving on into a more independent setting, should they wish.
Greenwood Cottage is a small residential home for 6 adults with learning disabilities, who may also have mental health conditions and complex needs. The ethos of the staff team is to support the resident in the continuum of their journey through their care pathway to recovery, and to help them harness and secure skills that will enable them to thrive independently in the community.
Winnett Cottage is part of the integrated male care pathway within Nouvita, which also includes our hospital in Baldock and mental health rehabilitation services at Eltisely Manor and Howe Dell respectively.
We encourage residents to individually identify their goals and agree a plan on how to achieve them using the Recovery Star.
Residents are linked up with work opportunities, education at the local College and meaningful activities as provided by Mind and YMCA who offer a full range of therapeutic and leisurely activities that our residents can continue using long after discharge.
Windsor House is an independent psychiatric aftercare home, that is primarily a step-down unit for residents of Winnett Cottage in Stevenage.
Located nearby, and benefiting from the proximity of Winnett Cottage's 24-hour staff, Windsor House further enables independent living as residents are in the final stages of transition back to the community.
Placements are available for 3 male residents aged 18-65 with or without forensic history.
