Beware of competitors who claim not to charge to look at your computer – they will add this charge on to your repair. We charge an inspection fee which is refunded if you decide to proceed with the repair. With upfront and clear charges so you retain control at all times.

Modern laptops often suffer with a failed GPU. This is often caused by solder becoming brittle and breaking as the board and chip go through many heat cycles. We replace the chip with a brand new pre-balled chip. We can normally turn these repairs around within 4-6 days of receipt of your laptop.

A lot of Laptop Repair companies will write a laptop off that has suffered a liquid spill. This is not necessarily a bad thing as the amount of damage a spill can cause can be extensive. However, we can repair this damage in most cases. Symptoms you will experience may start from some keys not functioning, Screen distortion or artifacts on the screen, laptop fails to power on at all or fails to display an image. Cost of repairs for this type of damage start from £75.00 and rise to many hundreds of pounds. On average we find around 40% of customers with this type of damage will pay only £75 and for the remaining customers they will end up paying between £140-£300. It's impossible to advise in advance until the laptop has been fully assessed. So before throwing your laptop away, bring it to us and have it expertly assessed for only £45 before consigning the laptop to the scrapheap. What's more the £45 assessment fee is deducted from your repair bill should you decide to proceed. TOP TIP: If you do have a spill, remember to remove the mains adapter from the laptop and remove the laptop battery. Then open the laptop and turn upside down to allow any liquid to drain. Lastly place your laptop in a polythene bag containing a good double handful of rice. This will absorb the moisture. You may still need a repair but you may also get lucky if you act in time. Do not power your laptop on for at least 2 days!

If your laptop fails to power on or perhaps fails to charge this can often be a fault of either the mains charger or your laptop power socket. These are often damaged from not correctly aligning the adapter before inserting or using too much force. You will be glad to know we offer a free service to check your mains adapter. Bring the laptop and adapter into our store and it will be checked while you wait for free to determine if it's simply the adapter or if you need a socket repair. As our replacement adapters cost just £24.99 you may be glad you had it checked. We carry stock of almost every mains adapter for almost all laptops in our store.
